Marshawn Lynch enters not guilty plea in DUI case

Posted on Thursday, August 2nd, 2012 at 9:30 am

Several NFL players have been cited for driving under the influence in recent months, including Marshawn Lynch, a running back for the Seattle Seahawks. Lynch was charged with DUI while he was in California on July 14.

The football player was pulled over in Oakland after witnesses claim he had been swerving in his lane on I-880. Lynch submitted to two separate breathalyzer tests, with one showing a 0.08 BAC, and the second resulting in a slightly higher level. Lynch has released an apology statement in regards to his actions.

The arraignment for his charges was moved up, and Lynch chose to enter a ‘not guilty’ plea in court last week. The main reason for the moving of the arraignment date was to have more exposure to the evidence in the case.
