Arizona DUI Charges and Sentences

The following are the maximum sentences for DUI charges in the state of Arizona:

  • First Offense – 10 days in jail, $1,250 in fines, license revocation for 90 days, counseling, probation up to five years.
  • Second Offense – 90 days in jail, $2000 in fines, license revocation for one year, counseling, probation up to 5 years, installation of ignition interlock device.
  • First Extreme DUI (BAC above .15) – 30 consecutive days in jail, $3,000 in fines, license suspension for 90 days, counseling, probation, installation of ignition interlock device.
  • Second Extreme DUI (BAC above .15) – 120 days in jail, 60 consecutive, $3,000 in fines, license suspension for 90 days, counseling, probation, installation of ignition interlock device.
  • Felony DUI (3rd offense within 5 years) – Four months in prison, $151,750 in fines, license revocation for three years, counseling, probation up to 5 years, vehicle forfeiture.
  • Felony (with someone under 15 in car) –120 days in jail, 60 consecutive, $151,750 in fines, license revocation for three years, counseling, probation up to 5 years, vehicle forfeiture.
